Forum on Federal Government Effects Assessments: How Federal Authorities are Meeting Requirements Under Section 67 of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act

Federal Authorities are required by Section 67 of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA) 2012 to determine whether projects on federal lands (that are not designated as a reviewable project under CEAA 2012) are likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. The specific approach of how to conduct these determinations is up to the individual Authorities. Join us to hear how four Federal Authorities are conducting environmental assessments. The event will include presentations by and a panel discussion with:

  • Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency,
  • Indigenous and Northern Affairs and Canada,
  • Department of National Defence,
  • Port Metro Vancouver,
  • Transport Canada.
